I grew up in the worst city in the Czech Republic — not my words, Deloitte's. There weren't many startups — or much reason to think about them. But I loved mathematics, and I found my way to computer science because it felt like the most fun way to practice it: algorithms, structures, puzzles that actually *do* something.
When I joined Credo Ventures as a developer and worked my way onto the investment team, DevTools and infrastructure became closest to my heart. I'm not the greatest engineer in the room, but I've always been fascinated by understanding new technologies — not just how they work, but what they *unlock*. New algorithms, new primitives, new ways of doing things that suddenly make impossible things possible. That curiosity is what drives every conversation I have with founders.
I love working with deeply technical founders who are on top of what's happening at the frontier. The meetings I enjoy most are the ones where we can go deep on the technology together. After a first meeting, I ask myself one question: *Would I recommend my best engineering friends to join this team?* If the answer is yes, I know I've found something special.
Interests: Weightlifting, triathlon (I outlift the runners and outrun the lifters), and woodworking.
