Ondrej Bartos

An entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Ondrej experienced his first successful business endeavor before he graduated from college in 1996. Several business enterprises later, he is now managing the early stage venture capital firm Credo Ventures, which he co-founded in January 2009. Until December 2008 he served as the Senior Investment Director of MCI Management S.A., where he was responsible for managing investments in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, and former Yugoslavia. Ondrej views venture capital as a tool to help entrepreneurs reach their goals, execute their visions, and boost the economy by supporting innovative ideas and projects. Since 2009 he also stars in the investment TV show Den D on Czech TV.

Jan Habermann

Before his engagement in venture capital Jan co-founded and operated several companies. In 2003 a software development company Acron Communications he started and managed was acquired by a strategic investor and Jan became fascinated by M&A transactions and private equity investments. Since then he completed several M&A projects as an advisor representing either the sellers as well as the acquirers. He also completed several venture capital investments working as an Investment Director of MCI Management. Jan graduated from the University of Economics in Prague where he specizalized in financial management, accounting and business combinations.

Vladislav Jez

Vladislav is truly a Czech venture capital pioneer, he has been active in the venture capital industry since 1994 when he managed to launch one of the first VC funds in the region. As a Managing Partner at JV Capital Management and Czech Venture Partners , Venture Capital advisory firms, he was actively involved in four venture capital funds with the total of 24 realized investments. Vladislav was also a board member/executive in 20 investee companies and he held various management positions in the airline and automotive industry. Vladislav is currently a President of the Czech Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and was the Board Member of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association from 2005 to 2008.

Tomas Orlik

Tomas graduated from Brno University of Technology, where in 1990, earned his electrical engineer specializing in cybernetics and computer control systems. After a short experience in this field, Tomas started in 1991 to address geographic information systems. He became member of the firm Geometry Opava, he then worked for the company Geodis Brno, leader of local digital mapping market. In 1993/1994 he completed a six-month working stay at the software company Intergraph Corporation in Hunstville, Alabama, USA, and then accepted the offer of the company to work in Prague. In 2000 he founded the company GCWare which has become a visible player on the market of mobile geospatial software systems in Western Europe, Middle East (GCWare Middle East FZ LLC) and the Czech Republic. At the end of 2007 Tomas completed the process of sale of GCWare to YMS Group (UK, SK) and GWDI Inc. (USA). Besides his engagement as a partner of Credo Ventures he sometimes gives lectures at the University of Economics Prague.

Jaroslav Trojan

Jaroslav is responsible for sourcing and executing venture capital investments at Credo Ventures, broadly focused on technology with a particular interest in software, Internet, and mobile. Prior to joining Credo Ventures, he began career in consulting and marketing with MIC & Associates and Finadvice. His areas of expertise include business model development, business plan analysis and financial analysis for startups. Jaroslav graduated magna cum laude from the Liberty University (USA, Va) with a B.S. degree in Finance & Economics. He is also a former college tennis player.

Andrej Kiska

Andrej joined Credo Ventures in October 2011, originally on a part-time basis. He is responsible for sourcing and evaluation of potential investments and is actively involved in supporting existing portfolio companies on fundraising, growth and exit activities along with his responsibilities as a part-time private equity analyst at Benson Oak, where he focuses on early stage investments. Andrej graduated from University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce with concentrations in finance and management.

Charisse is a Finance and Accounting major at the New York University Stern School of Business. She is studying abroad in Prague for the Spring 2013 semester to gain an insight into European culture and history. Charisse has a keen interest in entrepreneurship, and also greatly enjoys traveling, playing team sports, and enjoying exotic food.
